The independent publisher American Kino International has announced its intention to publish the Blu-ray format classical absolute Fritz Lang, Metropolis, starting in 2009. Film seminal science-fiction, which has inspired many works through the decades, Metropolis has been made in 1927 by Lang, four years before his other masterpiece, the M Maudit. His arrival on the format would make the blue oldest feature film to be produced in high definition. Of course, impossible to mention here of non-compressed audio tracks or 16 / 9 without a smile (the film is 1.33:1, silent and black & white), but it is still curious to find out 1080p, d ' provided that Kino had carried out a careful restoration of the film in 2001. |
