The Criterion Collection has revealed its Blu-ray slate for November and the prestigious independent studio shows no signs of slowing down. On November 9, the studio will release the highly controversial Antichrist (Lars von Trier, 2009). A week later, the long-rumored The Night of the Hunter (Charles Laughton, 1955) will hit shelves, along with Modern Times (Charles Chaplin, 1936). And last but not least, on November 23, Criterion will release America Lost and Found: The BBS Story, a six-disc box set compiling seven films from the innovative New Hollywood of the late 1960s and early 1970s

Criterion 2011 New Year's Card Hints at Upcoming Blu-ray Titles
Once again, The Criterion Collection has decided to wish its friends a happy new year with a cryptic e-card filled with cryptic hints of the titles it plans to release in the coming year. Members of the Blu-ray.com forum and other boards have tried to decipher the clues and concluded that the studio will soon release major titles such as Andrei Tarkovsky's Solaris, Roman Polanski's Cul de sac and Alfonso Cuarón's Y tu mamá también.

Criterion Blu-ray in April: Campion, Denis, De Palma, Gilliam, Loach, Melville
The Criterion Collection has announced six titles for Blu-ray release in April. On April 12, it will release Le cercle rouge (Jean-Pierre Melville, 1970) and White Material (Claire Denis, 2009). A week later, it will release Kes (Ken Loach, 1969) and Sweetie (Jane Campion, 1989). And finally, on April 26 it will release Blow Out (Brian De Palma, 1981) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Terry Gilliam, 1998). With the obvious exception of Le cercle rouge, all digital transfers are director-approved.

Criterion Blu-ray in May: Bergman, Breillat, Chaplin, Clouzot, Demme, Shinoda, Tarkovsky
The Criterion Collection has announced a record seven titles for Blu-ray release in May. On May 3, it will release Fat Girl (À ma soeur; Catherine Breillat, 2001) and Smiles of a Summer Night (Sommarnattens leende; Ingmar Bergman, 1955). A week later, it will release Something Wild (Jonathan Demme, 1986). On May 17, the studio will put out Diabolique (Les diaboliques; Henri-Georges Clouzot, 1954) and Pale Flower (Kawaita Hana; Masahiro Shinoda, 1964). And last but not least, May 24 will see BD releases for The Great Dictator (Charles Chaplin, 1940) and Solaris (Andrei Tarkovsky, 1972).

Criterion's October Blu-ray Line-Up: Korda, Shindo, Antonioni, Kenton, Linklater, Kobayashi and Pasolini
Criterion has unveiled a new batch of titles, all of which will street in October. These include Zoltán Korda's 1939 epic The Four Feathers, Kaneto Shindo's Kuroneko, Michelangelo Antonioni's Identification of a Woman and Island of Lost Souls, a 1932 Erle C. Kenton tale based on H.G. Wells' The Island of Dr. Moreau.
Past releases getting the Blu-ray treatment are Masaki Kobayashi's 1962 samurai tale Harakiri, Pier Paolo Pasolini's Salò, or The 120 Days of Sodom and Richard Linklater's nostalgic comedy Dazed and Confused.
All titles carry the standard Criterion SRP of $39.95 with the exception of Identification of a Woman, which has been priced a bit lower at $29.95 (and has the fewest amount of extras). Special features and release dates for each title are outlined below.
