Four Sylvester Stallone Films Coming to Blu-ray

Warner Home Video have revealed that they will release on Blu-ray four Sylvester Stallone films: Cobra (George P. Cosmatos, 1986), Demolition Man (Marco Brambilla, 1993), The Specialist (Luis Llosa, 1994), and Assassins (Richard Donner, 1995). At the moment, it is unclear what supplemental features will be offered on these releases. Street date is August 16th.

Marx Brothers, Jean Cocteau, and Jean Vigo Films on Blu-ray This Summer

An article published in The New York Times yesterday reveals that a number of classic films are set to arrive on Blu-ray this summer. Some are yet to be officially announced, but we believe that the fact that they are mentioned with specific release dates guarantees that the summer will be indeed quite exciting. According to the article, on June 7th the Marx Brothers' The Cocoanuts (1929), Animal Crackers (1930), Monkey Business (1931), Horse Feathers (1932), and Duck Soup (1933) will debut on Blu-ray (Universal Studios), while on August 2 we will see Jean Cocteau's Orpheus (1950) (Criterion) and Jean Vigo's complete works.

Spielberg Confirms Jaws Blu-ray is on the Way.

In an interview with Ain't It Cool News, Steven Spielberg confirmed that work on the Blu-ray edition of his 1975 thriller Jaws has already begun.

When asked if a Jaws Blu-ray was on the horizon, the director responded, "Yes, there is. Yes, there is. I've already seen some of it. I don't have a date yet, but there's a Blu-ray absolutely in the works."

The Frighteners: 15th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray

Peter Jackson's 1996 horror/comedy film The Frighteners has been announced for Blu-ray by Universal Studios Home Entertainment. The release will mark the 15th anniversary of the film and include Peter Jackson's director's cut, which adds an additional 23 minutes to the runtime.

Gaumont to Release Three Ettore Scola Films

French distributors Gaumont have revealed that they will release on Blu-ray three films directed by Ettore Scola: Il viaggio di Capitan Fracassa a.k.a Captain Fracassa's Journey (1989), Che ora è? a.k.a What Time Is It? (1989), and Splendor (1989). The preliminary information supplied by the distributors indicates that all three will be English-friendly. Street date is October 19th

Dead Poets Society and Good Morning, Vietnam Heading to Blu-ray

Disney has officially announced that it will release on Blu-ray Barry Levinson's Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), starring Robin Williams, Forest Whitaker, and Tung Thanh Tran, and Peter Weir's Dead Poets Society (1989), starring Robin Williams, Ethan Hawke, Robert Sean Leonard, and Josh Charles. The two releases will hit retail shelves on January 17th.

De Lo Squalo esiste l'edizione DVD 25°anniversario con doppiaggio ITA originale ( mono). L'edizione successiva (30°) uscì con una traccia ridoppiata in 5.1 - Topic

Attualmente per E.T. non esiste un'edizione DVD con doppiaggio cinematografico.
